This is The Family Portrait - shot on medium format (120) film, our Family Portrait session is raw, simple, and deeply human. It’s about capturing who you are - not through performance, but through presence.

No posing required.
We won’t ask you to tilt your head or force a smile. Instead, we’ll help you settle in, just as families did generations ago. You might be sitting on your front step, standing in your garden, or gathered in the hallway under a familiar picture frame. We create space for you to simply be together - and that’s where the magic happens.

  1. We come to you
    Invite us to your home - the place that holds your family stories. Whether it’s a birthday, Sunday roast, or just a regular afternoon, we’ll travel to you and work with the space you already love.

  2. Or come to us
    Visit our studio, Atelier no24 in Plymouth, a calm, natural-light space where the process is just as gentle. Bring whoever you call family. The door’s open.

What you’ll receive:

  • One final portrait: carefully composed and shot on film - printed and scanned for you to keep, frame, and pass down

  • A contact sheet: 6–8 additional frames from the same roll - soft moments and details that surround the main image, creating a visual memory of the day

This isn't a fast-paced shoot or a digital gallery of 100 near-identical shots. It’s a return to how family portraits used to be made - thoughtful, intentional, and full of quiet character.

A portrait like this lives on walls. It gets passed down. It becomes part of your family’s story.
